Our Whole Lives (OWL) is a comprehensive, age-appropriate, lifespan sexuality education curriculum for use in both secular settings and faith communities. It dismantles stereotypes and assumptions, builds self-acceptance and self-esteem, fosters healthy relationships, improves decision-making, and has the potential to save lives.
OWL for 7th, 8th, and 9th grades will run from September through April. This is a 9-month health and sexuality curriculum that covers values, relationships, responsibility, choices, justice, inclusivity, and self-worth, as well as anatomy and health. Led by certified facilitators, participants work to establish and articulate their values to make healthy, responsible choices.
The Parent/Guardian Orientation on Sunday, September 8 from 4:00-6:00 p.m. is a mandatory part of the program to help families understand the content and commitment. It is also a great time for parents/guardians to learn more about the program and discern if this is the right time for their youth to participate.
