It’s time to register your children and teens for Religious Exploration & Engagement (REE) classes at UUCUC. This year, our engaging program focuses on the new UU values (Love, Justice, Equity, Transformation, Generosity, Interdependence, and Pluralism) and makes connections to the congregation and weekly worship themes. We are adding more experiential learning into classes, where students can “learn by doing” and then reflect on their experience.
Complete a registration form on Realm for each child in your family. There is no fee or tuition required.
Fall REE Classes begin on Sunday, September 15, 2024
Here’s a sneak peek at what will be offered:
* PreK-K: Students will explore the values through stories, creative projects, and crafts.
* 1st Grade through 3rd Grade: Students will explore the values through lessons that incorporate an experiential activity (Legos and others) and a mindfulness/spiritual practice.
* 4th Grade through 8th Grade: Students will explore the values through playing board games and orienteering.
* High School Youth Group (YRUU): YRUU is designed to promote and enhance the development of our youth by instilling a sense of competence, purpose, and belonging. There will be many opportunities for the youth to grow and learn more about themselves, each other, and being UU, all while having fun. The class takes place as a hybrid online and in-person on Sunday mornings.
