Greetings, UUCUC, from your Settled Search Team! We have been meeting weekly since July to plan our road to a new settled minister, and you will begin to see the results of that planning very soon. On Sunday, September 11th, we will be conducting the worship service, a service which will explore the themes of ministry and community and, most importantly, the role we all play in both.

Along with plans for the worship service, we also dove deep into what will be the congregational survey that we will be sending to everyone in the coming weeks. This survey is incredibly important to the process of finding the right settled minister: it will tell prospective ministers about what motivates us, about our many strengths, but also about areas that we may need to work on. After two-plus years of COVID it will also be a valuable measure for ourselves, a way to see in what ways this pandemic may have changed us and what we need from our spiritual leaders. A robust (at least 65%) response rate is a must for this survey, so please plan to make time to answer it thoroughly and thoughtfully when it comes out. Our plan is to release it to the congregation the first week in September.
