Coming next week, there will be some upgrades to the sanctuary to help facilitate a seamless hybrid worship experience. These upgrades are a timely addition as we look to the future of services at UUCUC.

Here are some benefits that will come from the new AV install:

• Clearer, brighter picture than our current projection onto the wall
• Symmetrical displays, so video is equally visible no matter which side of the Sanctuary you are on
• Clear, real-time display of the service for those seated in the back of the Sanctuary
• Reduced video signal delay means better audio/video synchronization
• Greater centralized control makes it easier for the A/V staff and volunteers
• Frees up the good projector and a laptop for use elsewhere in the church

This improvement is the first but by no means the last audio/visual upgrade we are planning for the church.  We realize that those who attend services in the Fellowship Hall face some challenges that aren’t being directly addressed by this project, but will be high on our list of things to accomplish next.
