Beginning on December 5th, UUCUC will open its doors again to small group and committee meetings. Please note, UUCUC Zoom accounts will still be available for groups and committees to meet on and that we fully expect many if not most committees and teams will choose to remain on zoom indefinitely due to both safety concerns and convenience for their members.
We’re offering the option to meet in-person at the church building on the understanding this is only if small group and committee members are all in agreement, feel comfortable doing so and, of course, follow the proper precautions.
UUCUC’s COVID-19 Task Force (CTF) recommends that UUCUC will follow the guidance, regulations, and recommendations of the Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH), and continue to work with Champaign Urbana Public Health District (CUPHD) which is the local office responsible for conducting follow ups and contact tracing after reported positive COVID cases. CTF will also monitor and follow all appropriate executive orders and mandates from CUPHD and IDPH. This proposal will replace the current UUCUC Pandemic Reopening Framework shared on 6-22-21.
If meeting in person at the church, we expect all members of our community will exercise personal responsibility and care toward each other when making decisions about how to participate in in-person gatherings. We recommend that universal precautions be taken including hand sanitizing stations and masking at all times indoors for all people ages 2 or older. And, we highly encourage vaccination by all members of our congregation. Tim Voelker, Director of Facilities, has put together a list of safety precautions for all groups to follow when meeting at the building.
Meeting facilitators will be responsible for ensuring that all meeting attendees follow the safety precautions. Please refer to UUCUC’s Reference Guide for Covid Safety.
To reserve a Zoom account or space at the church for a meeting, please go to our meeting reservation form. Please note, each space will have a meeting capacity to ensure social distancing guidelines are followed.
