FOR ALL WHO WORK IN THE HEALTHCARE SYSTEM IN ANY CAPACITY & PATIENTS!
Join us SUNDAY, June 28th, in a peaceful demonstration at Crystal Lake Park Pavillion (near Carle Hospital) at 1:00pm.
We will gather in a show of solidarity, acknowledging the systemic racism and implicit bias that have, for centuries, contributed to the oppression and disenfranchisement of Black and Brown bodies. We are here as healthcare workers to stand against racial injustice and disparities.
- Wear professional symbols (white coats, scrubs, stethoscopes, etc.)
- For anyone associated with the healthcare industry- providers, nurses, techs, support staff, patients & families
- There will be no marching, but we will kneel in honor of George Floyd and all Black lives lost unjustly
- Bring signs!
- Tape will be available for anyone who wishes to cover their employer’s name on the uniform
- This event is in support of, but not affiliated with, Black Lives Matter and White Coats 4 Black Lives. We do not represent any specific healthcare organization.
PLEASE PRACTICE SOCIAL DISTANCING AND WEAR MASKS!!!!
