The Search Team formed in October of 2020 to guide the search process for a religious education professional. 

The six members of the team are comprised of parents, RE teachers, RE leaders, and active members of the interim REEF (Religious Education Exploring the Future) Team. Rev. Florence Caplow, Lead Minister, is leading the team. 

Over the past months, the team has worked with Mid-America Regional staff, interviewed ministers and religious educators at seven other congregations in a similar size range, learned about anti-racist alternatives to traditional recruiting, conducted focus groups and a survey at the church, re-envisioned the job description for the position based on the church’s new five-year strategic plan, and prepared search materials.
