Join us on Saturday, May 11 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. in Fellowship Hall for this planning session! Please note, the building is wheelchair accessible (via elevette at south door).

This planning session is geared towards Individuals or group representatives who see racial justice as a part of their personal, professional, or organizational commitment.

It will be a useful, engaged, goal-setting/strategic planning session to translate the vision of ending white supremacy into doable actions at the individual or group level. With options for multiple learning styles, you’ll walk away with clear, reasonable, meaningful next steps for anti-racist action, and the knowledge that you aren’t alone in this important work. Note: if you already have your own planning process, you are welcome to use this time to put it to use around racial justice.

elizaBeth Simpson will be the presenter for the planning session. elizaBeth is a professional and grassroots facilitator who has been working to support grassroots organizations, nonprofits, and direct action groups since 1998, and has offered variations on this workshop to various groups around the country since 2007. Prioritizing collective wisdom and accountability, elizaBeth has been acting in coalition with intergenerational, multiracial anti-racist organizers since 2005, and was a co-founder of the local chapter of Showing Up for Racial Justice in 2013. elizaBeth currently works for Bay Area Nonviolent Communication, and is pursuing a PhD focusing on anti-oppressive group decision-making practices.

Some snacks and beverages will be provided, you're invited to bring more to share! Childcare is also available if requested by 12:00 p.m. on May 9. Contact info@cusurj.org.
