POLST orders (Provider Orders for Life-Sustaining Treatment)
Mental Health Treatment Preference Declaration
The workshop will include handouts and anecdotal examples of the various issues that should be considered in planning at the end of life. This workshop will include presentations by both presenters and a substantial Q & A period to address more specific concerns. Handouts on many relevant end of life topics will be available.
The presenters are:
Keith Emmons: Keith is a partner in the law firm of Meyer Capel in Urbana and has been recognized as both an Illinois Leading Lawyer and an Illinois Super Lawyer in the Health Care Law field. He has been a featured speaker for professional organizations and is the author of numerous articles on medical malpractice defense, managed care reform, corporate medical practice, physician representation and the ever-changing healthcare environment.
Rebecca Wade: Rebecca is a shareholder in Meyer Capel’s Estate and Trust Practice Group. Rebecca concentrates her practice in the areas of estate planning, tax planning, estate administration, probate, wills, trusts, and trust administration.
