Unitarian Universalists are congregationalist. There are no governing bishops or elders. Becoming a member of this congregation is an opportunity to live out your democratic values. Membership brings with it the privilege of voting at congregational meetings, and the opportunity to serve as a lay leader in elected positions.
Becoming a congregant, though, is not just about democratic principles. Membership is also an internal and external expression of your own commitment and sense of belonging to this community, its values, its mission:
We hold Pathway to Membership classes throughout the year. If you would like to speak to our Membership Coordinator, Sherry Bohlen, you can email her or call her at (217) 417-1148.
