Hoersch Elderly Services Trust (VAHEST) was established on the death of Mr. Hoersch, member of the Church, to "provide for the needy elderly of our society, such as advocacy, ombudsman and personal services." While the Church trust Fund Trustees manage the funds, the Trustees established the VAHEST Advisory Committee to advise the Trustees on which projects should be funded and to evaluate projects that have been funded. The Advisory Committee is composed of people who have some experience with and expertise in the needs of older adults in Champaign County.
