The Social Action Committee works to foster and support Social Action activities for the church.  Regular activities include identifying recipients for the Monthly Charity program -- local charities who receive half of all undesignated donations every Sunday.  This group also helps to organize volunteers from the church for Habitat for Humanity projects.
